The exhibition, now in its third edition is more wide-ranging, international, well-established and increasingly effective in fulfilling the needs of the international pharmaceutical, personal care and nutraceutical business community worldwide. Its consolidation or rather its growth compared to the 2007 edition is an outstanding achievement, especially considering both the world’s general economic situation and the difficulties hampering the exhibition industry. Its format gives Pharmintech the edge over all other exhibitions and made it a much appreciated exhibition in spite of its youth because it is designed to be quick and easy to visit as it takes place over only three days, and to offer an all-comprehensive product display. These two characteristics are its greatest strengths, adds Facchinetti .
Pharmintech being one of the leading 2010 European exhibitions for its sectors is bound to be the event to fulfill the needs of different industrial segments: visitors having a highly professional profile, including production, marketing and sales managers, in addition to decision-makers from top management and research and development departments.
On May 11 Ipack-Ima SpA is planning an introductory event of great technical and scientific relevance in co-operation with two major trade associations: ISPE (the leading worldwide association of pharmaceutical industry professionals) and PDA (the prestigious international body dealing with the development, quality monitoring and regulation of pharmaceutical products).
It is an international convention "Designing quality, efficiency and sustainability into pharmaceutical processes", featuring the participation of world-class experts including Beppe Mazzocchi (Merck & Co, Italy), Werner Gerber (FFS University, Switzerland), Marcello Pasquazzo (Sanofi-Aventis, Italy), Luca Arrighi (Foster Wheeler Italiana), Ulla Thomsen (Novo Nordisk, Denmark), Lars Munkøe (Exima, Italy), Marzio Mercuri (PolPharma, Poland), Federico Brugnoli (Icimsi/Supsi, Switzerland), Riccardo Luigetti (European Medicines Agency – EMA, UK), Guido Dietrich (GSKBio, Belgium), Letizia Caccialupi (Boehringer Ingelheim, Germany).
On May 12 at 11.00 PM in the Concerto Meeding Room of BolognaFiere will be held the Pharmintech opening conference.
Outsourcing of highly specialized processes is one of the most rapidly growing trends in the pharmaceutical industry. The contract manufacturers group will relate on the importance and evolution of this phenomenon during its workshop "The current status of contract production in Italy", scheduled for May 13.
On May 14, the last day of the exhibition, there will be yet another highly specialized event organized by the Italian Packaging Institute, whose mission is creating business opportunities through the co-operation of all the segments of the packaging chain. Ten Italian universities, all committed to developing new pharmaceutical technology, will present their activities and achievements at "Meet the future. Universities and Research at Pharmintech 2010", a project promoted by Ipack-Ima Spa with the support of Farmindustria.
Over 350 companies will be exhibiting at the 2010 edition in sectors ranging from processing & packaging machines, Raw materials for the pharmaceutical, personal care & nutraceutical industry.
